Fun to drive?

I just got my license on saturday and starting driving my 88 fiero yesterday. For some reason, maybe i'm just not used to it or whatever, i'm really not enjoying being able to just drive around. It might be because its the first time i've driven alone or because i don't have my cd player in yet but i would like to know what everyone else thought when they first drove in a fiero or if it was their own.

my first thought was wow i am driving a plastic death trap that turns on a dime and is hard to fix if i wreck it...........

second thought..wow was i wrong

after 5 fiero project cars 2 dragsters and 2 daily drivers i would give up my dog before any one of my cars (children)

(live for fieros die for fieros)

It depends on what you want. I use my Fiero(s) to cruise the country. I stopped using it as a daily driver years ago. Its a fun car to drive unless you are in bumper to bumper traffic and you have a manual transmission. Since I've owned an 87 since new, my initial experience was a long time ago, but get a CD in or cassette tape player put on the tunes and drive by making people wonder what kind of car is that?

You'll love it once you can play with it.

Before my Fiero, I had a 2002 Kia Spectra with A LOT of mods on it, it was DAMN NICE... then I totalled it, I found my fieroGT at an auction for cheap just to get around until I had a chance to get a real car....Let's just say I will probably never get any other kind of car again...at least until I have to.. =P

Re: Fun to drive?

Yeah, Fieros are the best. I am only 16 and I am fixing mine up at the moment. They have the right amount of power, plus they are great handling cars. After driving my fiero and then jumping into my mom's car was totally different. It will just take a little time to get use to it.
