Just wondering if you ever got that BBK 80mm throttle body? I am thinking about getting one for my truck and was wondering if it was worth the money right now. Ive just started modding my truck, got a KN FIPK, took out my MAFS screeen, got flowmaster exhast, and a Hypertech power programmer.

Re: BBK 80mm throttle body

i have yet to buy the 80 mm TB i dont think i ever will. to much money for me. if i am going to spend 400$ it would be on a stall, custom tune, or a EATON posi. just my opinion i just dont think it would be worth it for me. i plan on getting my heads done so i could have 400 more dollars towards that which would make a lot more power.
the 160 stat, i just put that in the other day. i was waiting for winter to let up and get a little warmer. i noticed that from about 55 to 70 it picks up faster and my truck is alot cooler, which is what a lower stat is supose to do. i guess all the hpp3 setting is for is to save on gas when it is in. because i guess gm has some thing that anything 160 and below registers as a cold start and it dumps in more gas or it does something to make it get bad gas milage. i have not been through a full tank with the new stat in so i can't say how much my gas has decreased. i basically only take my truck out on nice days.
