About 2000 miles ago the car stopped cranking when the fuel tank had less than 1/4 tank. By adding a couple of gallons it would start. Then it starting dying on the interstate. If I pull over and waited a few minutes it would crank back up. My dealer tried to look perplexed and told me that GM had no official bulletin out yet, but they were experiencing plenty of problems. I have changed the fuel pump and bent the float mechanisim up 1 inch. Had no problems until this morning. It would not start until I added 2 gallons of gas. Also changed fuel filter several times, tank was clean when pump was changed. Need help, wife's car, she is not happy!!!!!! Report Post | IP: Logged |

buy the complete modular assembly and this will fix your problem, first of all you should have never bent the float arm, second the contacts on the fuel level sender are probably burnt.

What he said. I don't know if a modulater will help, hope so. But I mostly agree that you never bend the float.
