Well, last night my car got broken into. Those punk-bitches stole my deck, cds, and my VAFC. The good thing is that they didn't touch the engine, and they managed to get in without breaking any windows. This is what I get for moving into a crappy apartment in a shady neighborhood....On the plus side, I saved some weight, a good 7-8lbs, good for 1/10000th of a second off the 1/4mile.....On the bad side, I've decided to sell my CRX and buy something that's not a honda, and I'm going to keep it stock.

Life is going to suck without a car to modify.

That really sucks man.... BUT word to the wise... theives usually don't give a crap what kind of car it is or how stock it is/looks... they'll usually break into anything that isn't sitting up on bocks, stripped down.

Actually most pro's (which these guys sound like because they didn't need to break anything to get in) already have an "order" to be filled. It doesn't matter what the car is...'some' mind you are more common than others but in most cases they go out looking for specific things...doesn't matter what the car is.

I can get into most cars in under 15 seconds without breaking anything, making any sound, or getting finger prints everywhere (except for late model Camaro's and more upper class "luxury" cars)... using only a screw driver and wire hanger (but I actually own a slim jim)... and I'm not a pro theif
And alarms only get to sound for a little bit, if someone knows what they're doing and what to look for they can be quickly disabled too. So never put all your faith in your alarm.

man thats to bad instead of getting a different car y not move again? when ur in a shitty neighborhood bad things happen no matter what u try to do. the only way they wont break into it ,is if u dont have it. ive never had anything taken out of my car, but ive had stuff stolen right out of my pants and there was nothing i could do about it.

This is why if i really wanted to protect my car, I'd get a pager alarm that goes off and wakes me up, and I'd go out to the car to take care of business.

Car alarms are common enough that the only way it will help is if you hear it - everyone else ignores them now.

yeah that sucks shit dude, my cars been vandilized for apparently no reason and also someone tried to break in. they clearly weren't a pro and wrecked my door in the process. i'm sellin my crx. goes in the paper friday
