Angry Trannie Question

Reasently bought a 2000 GT for my wife and the trans seems to be sticking in 2nd gear from a stop. It's definitly not starting in first, when you give it some pedal it rev's without forward motion then slams into gear sometimes hard enough to chirp tires. when I took it to the dealer they replaced clutch packs and bands worked for two days . If anyone can help pleeeease!! other than that great car!!

there is a vacuum line that goes from the fuel injection to the transmission. it may have a leak in it or not be on the fitting tightly. check it before replacing any expensive parts.

Sounds like a stuck valve body. The pressure is building up in the valve but being blocked by the clog, when it clears the clog all that pressure slams the trans. I had a rebuild trans only last 4 days because the shop failed to fully clean the valve bodies, they should have just replaced the damn thing. Total cost on my rebuild was 2800 that was with new gears/TC/single chain/and all the reg. crap that goes along with it and also a new differential.

BTW,

Mekesa1, what is that?? I've seen you post it twice and it doesnt explain crap???
