Extreme Virtual Reality

Hmm I just made that up but I heard of technology( not out yet, but in the plans) of virtial reality that will interact with the neurons in your brain so you actually feel sensations( touch, smell , etc.) I think this is possible , but WHEN?

(also what movie was this idea in?..cant remember, cool movie though)

Sony Entertainment are looking/working on such technology. It will be the future Playstation (around ps 4 or so) where implants will be made to the side of the for-head to give it a realistic feel to the games.

But because of ethical and privacy issues (as they can minipulate and remember its embedded into you so its quite dangerous) they might not be able to bring it out.
