oh yeah!

<devilish grin> look what I found

A local guy is selling this from a wrecked 95 GSR. I hope to have it here soon... includes motor, tranny, half shafts, intermediate staft, engine harness, starter, power steering pump, clutch linkage, motor mounts, exhaust manifold, downpipe, cat, etc... This will be put into my '94 EX with the dying engine...

Advice/comments anyone?

Re: oh yeah!

94k... the only thing that worries me a bit is I havent heard it run and since it is not in a car no compression check. I honestly think it should be fine though Hondas run a pretty long time right? right...? lol

Yeah, that's an average deal. Is the valve cover home painted or professionally?

Now you'll need 1 yellow racing stripe off-center & paint all interior trim The yellow would be the least of my concers. 94K? Thats still a baby, barely broken in You can always pull the valve cover, timing belt covers, & oil pan for a 1/2 ass inspection since you can't really run it. Check all the rod bearings by wiggling them, turn the motor over with a socket/ratchet . . .

Re: oh yeah!

no goofy paint or anything like that on my car... I want it to look pretty much stock

as far as taking off some covers, yeah I could do that... if I had the time. it might be worth me making time to do that. before I put it in the car I plan to at least put on a new timing belt and water pump, maybe even an oil pump... I don't really know but I know that there is no better time than when it is out of the car to do work like that.

Thats uh-oh, not rolling eyes
94K on a honda engine is a baby

Good idea - valve cover gasket, seals, grommets
Valve adjustment
Timing belt - tensioner
Drive belts
Water pump
Fluids
Plugs, cap, rotor

Re: oh yeah!

yeah I have discovered how easy the valve adjustment is and will do that, the guys is throwing in a new cap and rotor he got for it, he doesnt have the belts so I have to get new of those anway...

I also plan to do an engine oil flush, and a coolant flush to start it out fresh, I like to use Mobile 1 oil and still change it every 3k even though it is synthetic so I will probably start right into doing that with this engine as well

Re: oh yeah!

Also, as I recall I may have to get some different engine mounts for it from like a 99-00 Civic SI or a Del Sol w/ b16a or something? Is this true or will the stock Integra mounts bolt in?
