91 Chevy surging problems
Just got a 91 Chevy 1 ton dually 4x4 with a 454 and automatic tranny. The truck runs great but I do have one little bug I am hoping you guys can help me out with. It’s kind of a weird problem that only happens at around 2300- 2500 RPM. I guess I would describe it as a momentary surge or jump in rpm’s that comes and goes but only at that rpm range. I thought it might have been the tranny but I am not sure why it would only slip at that spot and not anytime else. Any thought on this? The truck has a KN filter and Jacobs’s electronics but other then that it is stock. 109 k on it FYI. Thanks in advance for any help

Changed the TPS and the problem is still there. Dont know what else could cause it to only surge at that rpm range.

Re: 91 Chevy surging problems
Have you checked the fuel pressure at that rpm range?

Maybe you have a vacuum leak, check the intake manfold gasket
