Re: Help celica issues

You ever replace common parts such as plugs, wires, rotor, dizzy cap??????

Did you check the ECU for codes?

If you are not getting any codes, I would replace the above mentioned parts with TOYOTA brand parts. Their ignition components are equal to or superior than any company on the market.
(NGK plugs, Toyota cap, wires/leads, rotor).

Can't help much more without knowing more about your Celica.

regards...

chris

Man, that happened to me before, I got an 85, and I ripped apart the Air cleaner to see what size Adapter i need, and when I put it back together and started it up, all i got was a constant rev... Almost made me cry. When I took it apart again I found a screw jammed in the butterfly going to the throttle body . That was the worst 10 minutes of my life.

Re: Help celica issues

and change those ignition parts if you never have. You'll like it. Check out some copper plugs rather than platinum if you want the most performance. plats just last longer, regular cheap copper provide better spark.

NGK plugs, $1.00/ea.
Toyota wires, $55
Cap and rotor, $40?
good stuff to do... won't hurt to change as you found out about leaves and fuel filters

later,
Chris
