Auto to Manual?

Is it possible to convert an automatic Firebird to a manual? If so, how much would it probably cost? Or do you think it would be easier and cheaper to just sell mine and buy a manual?

Re: Auto to Manual?

Just a question... Why do you need a Manual? MPO is that auto. is better for drag racing anyway. But I know some people like to have fun with the 6speeds/5speeds.

Because i like to have the feeling of being in control of my gears, some people know what i'm talking about, and i like to be in control of when to shift. I dunno, it's hard to explain but it makes me feel like i have more control over my car and it doesn't have to do all the work by itself. Plus, better gas mileage and it is more fun to practice times with a stick rather than an auto.

Did your car come with that and what year is it? Isn't that less efficient than just having a full manual or full auto?
