Starter Replacement
Alright, so I replaced my starter on my 93 Grand Am, all is well, it turns the motor, the motor turns the belt and alternator etc, but it will not start. My question, Is there something I could have bumped when replacing the starter that would cause the car not to start. Incidently, my cd player does not work also, but worked before I changed the starter. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

I have had the same problem this weekend. After reading a couple of threads about crank sensors and then your message about changing a starter, i went out and checked the front crank sensor and sure enough i had knocked the wire loose when installing the starter. If you remove your oil filter, thefront crank sensor is located right above the filter. Good luck |
