Loud ticking noise

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer.

On the passengers side, on occasion, there seems to ge a loud ticking noise that could be heared, sounds like the turn signal is on when it is not.

this does not happen to often but it is starting to get annoying, does anybody have any clue as to what this could be?

Where?? Inside the cab, under the hood? from the engine?
Also, is there any pattern to the noise, such as you only notice it when accelerating, etc??

faulty turn signal module, your blinker switch sometimes makes contact in the neutral position and randomly sets it off...

Does applying your brakes stop it for the time being until it starts again?

Only fix I've heard of was replacing it for around 100 bucks I think, and you prolly have to get someone else to do it because its in the steering column, and there's an airbag in there you dont wanna blow out.
