what's the going rate for 98 teg type r?

a dealer is asking 14,000 for a 98 teg type r with 49,000 miles. i am thinking i can get it for maybe 12k. is it worth it?

Ask 13 or 13,5 and im sure you'll beable to get it. ITR's are sweet i'd def. take it with 49k on it good luck with it!!

well, i paid 18k for my 00 ITR (in washington too, where prices suck.)

really depends on ur part of the country, but around here, that'd be a good deal.

ps. does the car have a salvage or rebuilt title?

im not sure if it is a rebuild or salvage. it's at a honda dealer. you know how sneaky these dealers can be.........so do they have to tell me if its a rebuild or salvage?

Definetly check it out that is a smokin deal on that car. remember that dealers are not your friend though and they will often try to screw you over with hidden costs that they 'forget' to mention till it comes down to signing the paperwork.

Oh and always do the carfax but make the dealer pay for it. Ask him for one and they'll provide it free of charge. If they refuse then there is probably trouble...

i called the dealer and they said that it was sold already!!!! i am still looking though. found another one but the guy is asking 17 for it. if i go with that, i'd have to sell my car outright and get a loan from somewhere or see what carmax will give me for it.
