351W damper

during the process of compiling a parts list for my notch's motor, i encountered a problem. i don't know the specifics for the damper. all i know for sure is, it needs to be internal balance, and as light as possible. i wanna go with ATI. can somebody help me find the right one? i need to know like diameter, shell material, hub material, # of rings, etc. please help, i no nothing about dampers. thanks!

This is a windsor motor, right?Because if it is,unles you specifically had the thing balanced to 0 then it's going to be an EXTERNALLY balanced motor.99% of 351Ws use a 28.4 oz balancer,as do pre-81 302s/289s.Post-'81 302s use the 50 oz. balancer.

In either case, there's some good bals available nowadays.I use Streetdamprs(their spelling)on most of my heavier motors.Full race pieces get Fluiddamprs,a more expensive version of the same piece built for over 8000 rpm runs.TCI makes(made?) the "Rattler" which was okay for 400 hp or less motors.

What exactly are ya building here?

Re: 351W damper

Romac makes a great damper as well, I would look into them.
