problems taking off side skirt

Situation: Trying to take off side skirts on 99 Civic Coupe to paint and noticed it is being held on by about three PLASTIC screws. I successfully (and carefully) take off two of the three and on the third - strip the head on the PLASTIC screw.

How in the world do you suggest I get this sucker out?

Oh, and why the heck are they PLASTIC?

They're supposed to be screws in each fenderwells, too. Then, push em towards the frt. of the car and remove.

Take a drill and drill the screw. Be VERY careful though. Then you should be able to take it off after taking out the screws in the fender well. If that doesn't work, just leave it on

Gawd, whaddaya need a drill fer? Take some pliers to it and pull it out. They're really not screws are they? With mine they were just like push-in tabs. How much is that part gonna cost really...

Since I've taken my skirts off a few times, here's what you do. First time they will come of fine, after they, somehow get messed up. What I did was just reached to the back of the skirt, and pulled down, until the buggers pop out. All they are, is puch tabs that have screws that hold them closed. Honda should been smart and just used metal screws for them. =\

Not sure how to other than the push tab screws. What I do is just shove them back into the holes, and since they are a pain in the arse to take back out, they hold in rather well. Otherwise, go to your local Honda dealer, and get some new ones? That's what I would do. They are about $2.50 a piece though! That's why I'm just making do with my messed up ones for now, they are underneith, still do their job, and aren't seen, so it's all good.

That's what I would do. Everytime I take off my door panels, I break some of those. They're the same thing, but cheaper. For a graduation present someone gave me 200 of those. He works at an automotive shop, and gets them for like 10 cents each. I would just go get new ones, the old ones sort of get messed up when you take them off. But they still work.

So if I understand right after you undo all of the screws you just take the side skirt and push it towards the front then try to remove?

I'm goin to be taking mine off here soon to do some work and want to know..

Yup, it's that easy bro...
To make the process go a little easier, turn the steering wheel to the side that you want to take off. (Not really necessary though)
