89 SUPRA N/A distributor question?

I am replacing a blown motor with a good used motor on my supra 89, N/A.

The question is ... the new motor came without a distributor...so when I install the distributor will it be ok just to set the motor at TDC to #1.??

please advise.

thanks,.
