It's too bad the camaro's couldn't have lasted one year longer so that the 03 cobra's could have decided the forever long battle once and for all. But then again, what could they have done; the cobra's are stepping up to the vettes and chevy can't make a camaro to outrun the corvettes. In some sense I guess you could say the ford mustangs shut down the camaros. No disrespect to camaros, ford just was on their game.

the new base model vettes run 12.5 1/4 miles, im not sure what the cobra runs but if it runs faster than that...well then its damn quick, but in 06 when the 500+hp Z06 comes out, im sure ford wont have anything to retaliate with. no disrespect to ford.

Well I think though that the 2005 Ford GT will be quite an opponent for the new Z06. It seems that car will be absolutely badass.

no they do not a base vette runs mid to low 13's depending on the driver and we will see if that 500 hp monster really makes it to the street. alot canbe decided and shutdown in two years

1/4 as tested by Car and Driver was 11.6@ 128. Which i believe is better or dead on a Dodge Viper SRT-10 and the same as the 96 McLaren F1(The so-called worlds fastest car)
top speed is supposed around 200.

Car and Driver faced it against a Porsche GT3 and Ferrari Challenge Stradale, and it handedly beat them. The article was kinda odd in that it stated the GT was the best throughout the laps they ran and cornered incredibly well. Yet in the end they talked of the steering being almost lifeless.
It seems to be a pretty nice and quick car.
