Re: Need Help In Decidin For New Car

Buy a fourth gen Honda Civic 4 door automatic. Ive been beaten by one before. He spot me 4 cars and by the time I reached 50 mph he was 3 cars ahead of me. His mods were home made intake, plug wires, NGK plugs, a big ass muffler, window tint, spoiler, and Mobil 1 oil.

He said hes planning to bag it sometime soon. Ill need Nawws then when I race him for $$$!!

Im sure your car will be a street terror if you get something like I mentioned!!

Dont forget stickers and decals to pimp it out too

DK was messing with you, somegroupingofstupidnonautomotivelettersforaname.

If you honestly have $50,000 in disposable income, why are you asking a bunch of guys on the internet how to spend it? Damnit, I've never had $5,000 disposable income.

Seriously, with that kind of scratch, I'd be talking Porsche 911, or Chevy Corvette, or Ferrari 308GTB. Because, with $50,000 cash I know I'd have a way stellar line of credit, plus certainly a good job (or massive inheritance) so I could afford any overage, or a lease.

However, I'm much more sure that you don't have that kind of cash. Generally speaking, people with that kind of money aren't bumming rides off friends and then thinking "Oh, I better get a Civic or Celica."

Kid, you're either more naive than Mihoshi Kuramitsu, or lying through your teeth. $50,000 is just an uncanny sum for someone who's starting out.

Re: Need Help In Decidin For New Car

a sleeper is a car that looks stock on the outside, but a beast inside, if you know what i mean, basically, a stock looking car that you don't expect to be fast or quick

Re: Need Help In Decidin For New Car

You're a kid (I assume, if your parents are giviing you 30k) and you have $20,000 to blow on a car??? Holy shit!! Either you're lying, or you're a movie star's kid or something... anyway, here's a fw tips.

Tip #1- F&F is just a movie. Anyone who really gives a rat's ass about going fast doesn't put on neon underbody kits, video screens, etc. In real life, the fastest car in 2F2F does maybe a mid-13. Pathetic.

#2- nitrous is not an alternative to a well-built engine. Think of it a frosting on a cake. It's sometimes nice to have the extra 50 hp, but a 50shot doesn't turn your car into a 10 second car. Build your car first, then add a shot if you really want.

#3- Most people here could care less about body kits and the like. People here care about speed, and not much else. Adding things to your car that don't make it go faster generally make it ricey. Rice is a bad, bad thing. A sleeper is a car that looks stock, but doesn't drive it. You generally need to run in the mid to low 13s it not lower to be considered a sleeper.

Hope this helps...

hey im sry but im just tryin to get a nice lookin & fast car. your advice really helped kinda. 1. so if i were to put bout 20grand into my grand cherokee it would b concidered a sleeper. 2. im fine with a mid-13 sec car. well i would like it to be faster but again, i want a car that looks like it came out of a movie. and 3. im not sayin nos is an alternative. im sayin i want a stupidly fast engine AND hav nitrous on it.

Re: Need Help In Decidin For New Car

It would be hard as hell ot make a grand cherokee go fast enough to be a sleeper, even with 20 grand. With 50 grand, you should be able to get your car into the low 11s or lower and still be reliable.

I suggest a skyline, if you want to go fast, and have the money. IMO, a skyline already looks cool enough without any extras. Trust me, you'll get plenty of stares. Another choice if you care more about looks than you do speed (though you'll still have some of the latter) is a used Ferrari or a used Acura NSX.

If you really want a car out of F&F, the first movie Paul Walker drives an Eclipse and a Toyota Supra, and in the second, a Mitsubishi Evo VII and a skyline.

Re: Need Help In Decidin For New Car

well, Don't be stupid.
having a car that looks like it came from a movie will get you less respect and more hassle from the cops than having a car that actually goes fast.
for 50k, get a new corvette, or used NSX. either one is deffinitely fast enough for someone with your level of experience, anything faster will only get you killed or worse, someone else killed.
