Puddle in Floor

every time i go get in my car there is a puddle of what smells like water in the drivers side floor board right in front of the seat. the kicker is it doesn't have to be raining to get the puddle. it doesn't smell like antifreeze.

does any one have any ideas what could cause a puddle like that.

thanks
drmojo

Re: Puddle in Floor

Could be that or might be water from the A/C. Have you tried driving the car without the A/C running to see what happens.
Might be that the A/C enclosure under the dash might have punctures and when operational condesnation pours out the wrong side or thru places is should not come out thru. Check driving the car with the A/C off.
If it is winter(I live in the caribbean) just use the heater without turning in the AC compressor to see what happens

the a/c don't even work in it nor does the heater so it is never turned on hot or cold.

Re: Puddle in Floor

Well then it is very probable that either their are leaks on the front of the car around the windshield line or the rubber plugs that are under the carpeting might be out or broken and let the outside moisture enter the car(This last one is a long shot). But really check for leaks on the windsheild/firewall area.
