1995 GSR questions
I'm not much of an Acura fan, but I think I may have come across a good deal and need some advice. I know next to nothing about integras, but Ive come across a 1995 GSR for sale for $1,000. The cars in great shape, never wrecked and has all the nice GSR ammenities like leather interior and all that jazz, new wheels and tires. of course at only $1,000 there are some problems with it. It has a cracked block and broken out passenger window, other than that the car is supposedly in good condition.
I havent went to go see the car yet, so I'd like some input on whether I should go see it or buy it for this price. I'd also like to know some things to check and look for if i go to see the car as well (car is well past the 100,000 mile mark). naturally with a cracked block I'm going to replace the engine, I just need to know if the "shell" of this car is worth this price. Any help or adivce is appreciated. |

for a single grand, sounds like even the body its self may not be in very good shape, thats really cheap, i say just go look at it, for 1,000 the body should be in decent shape and the interior will have normal wear and maybe some tear. you may want to check out the tranny, if the block is cracked, make sure the tranny is in good shape, the engine could have been screwed up racing and therefor the tranny and clutch may not be in that good of shape. hope this helps. i just got a 95 GSR and i love it, of course i spent alot more than 1,000 more like 6+ but its in great shape and only 77k on it

Have somebody very experienced look at it. If the heads in good shape, then your pretty lucky.

you should plan out in your head what you want from the car. if the shell is fine, and you get a whole engine /tranny swap, you should still be less than 5k for a nice low mileage integra of your engine choosing.
