I just bought my pre owned 2000 Tahoe this past weekend- not familiar with keyless entry so this question may seem absurd to you all.....
Driving along fine all week and last night got in after NOT locking the doors for several hours and it sat in driveway turned off of course. Security light only came on blinking as always when I opened the door- Tahoe would not starttttttttttt
then service engine soon light came on- turned ignition to off position and took out key - the weird part is (and no I didn't imagine this)- there were sounds underneath the steering wheel like a slight whirring and ticking almost like the sound of candy wrapper being opened- ? Does this have to do with security system or do I just need a new battery maybe?
