Angry Door Lock Barrell replacement

Can somebody tell me how you go about removal /replacement of the drivers side door lock barrel?

Somebody kindly superglued both my passenger and drivers door locks. This has caused me untold amounts of grief, particularly when the battery goes flat!

I have removed the interior door panel, but there does not seem to many accessable parts.

Once I have the lock out, my next problem is I have a lock rebuild kit from BMW that you assemble to fit the original key. Has anybody done one of these. It essentially just consists of the barrel body and a load of brass plates and springs.

Any help / advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Door Lock Barrell replacement

Sure I know I've done exactly what your asking about. What a pain, you need the exact part, year, model, that's where it starts. There's bolts hidden in the window tracks. Unless your working on these cars daily call a locksmith, save yourself loads of trouble.........Bill... You can't believe just how hard that part change is, and a new key.........
