Radio problems

My 1990 Oldsmoble 98 radio picks up overpowering static whenever I pass under power lines. Also the range is less than my wife's radio.

Any ideas?

replace the radio with an aftermarket radio.....seriously

mine isnt that bad, but yea, get an aftermarket radio, even a cheap one will be better.

An antenna fault would cause this problem, make sure the cable is securely plugged in and then check to see it's grounded to the fender.
If you have a Loc. or DX switch it should be on DX (for distance)
