You must remove the turn signals in the grill by removing the nuts behind the lights from under the hood remove the plastic covers above the headlight assembly under the hood on top of the core support first to access the nuts easier remove any screws from inside the front of the grill that you can see you must also remove the center of the grill aswell but before you can do any of this you must remove the bottom metal strip it snaps on and you must remove it carefully so you don't crack you grill then remove the center piece of the grill them the right and left pieces then you can acess your headlights.

Re: 1994 525i Headlight replacement

I would say, with all due respect....buy the Haynes / Chilton/ and/or Bentley manual. The first two being least expensive (under $20 USD) and the latter being quite expensive ( $75 and up ). They detail the procedure quite well and you are certain to make less mistakes. Trust me....I tried to do these seemingly minor repairs on my own and had I had the manual, it would've paid for itself 10x over.

My $.02
Jeff
