Engine swaps
Hi, I have a 1993 Escort GT automatic, that my 18yr brother had. The transmission wnet bad and we were told that the transmissions are bad about overheating any how. So we bought a used transm. and it rode smooth for 2-3 months. Well it lasted its warranty so we were stuck with it. So now it won't shift out of 1st gear. I bought the car for $200 and checked the radiator and guess what I found......a big whole in the lower left hand corner when your looking down at the radiator. So all Im really needing to know is what other higher horsepowered engines could I swap into this car and what all would I need for the swap. I have heard of a 210hp engine turboed, its a BP style engine. Im not really sure but thats what I was told. But if anyone could help me I would greatly appr. it. Thanks, and GOD bless.
