Intake Manifold Gasket 2000 Grand Am & 2001 Grand Prix
I have a 2000 Grand Am GT 3.4L. It has 60,000+ miles on it and I had a Lower In-Take Manifold Gasket Leak. Pontiac says it is not recalled, but there is a recall on it. My question is has anyone else had this problem where it needs to be fixed and the dealer will not cover it because of a different VIN number issue?? If so I would like to know. I think if enough have this probelm maybe I can get my money back or take some leagal action against GM/Ponitac.
Also, those of you with 2001 3.1L Grand Prix's, do you have the same probelm?? Thanks, Jake |

There was a Technical Service Bulletin issued to dealers about this problem, but no recall. So if you're out of warranty it won't be covered.

Intake Manifold Gasket 2000 Grand AM
I own a 1999 Grand Am GT with just over 60,000. Same problem with my car and was told there was no recall from GM. I still haven't got it fixed. I suggest you fill in the petition I found on the Web regarding this same problem and hopefully get a reaction from GM.
The petition is at http://www.petitiononline.com/GMcnsmrs/petition.html. |
