what concepts or soon to be released production cars/trucks have you seen on the road before they have been released. The newest one for me is a minivan i saw going the other way on the free way. I have no idea who made it or what it was. The body and headlights looked like a venture, it looked like a Ford grill and the tail lights looked like wider Ford Ranger tail lights. The other one was a X3, but since im in detroit, im begining to think that that was just a rebadging of a X5 even though it looked different then the X5 . The for sure ones though are a Chevy silverado that takes alot of stlying cues from dodge, and the next dodge ram.

I've seen a pic of an X7 but, you probably do a lot better in Detroit.

BTW, in a magazine I read that BMW is releasing all of these models by 2005.

1 Series: To compete against the Jetta and other mid-priced sedans. There will be three engines, the first two will be about 114 Hp to 138 Hp. The last is the "M" model which will have 240HP.

4 Series: This is a new upscale convertible design to go against the SLK 320 and the SC 430.

6 Series: BMW's new Supercar. I don't know a whole lot about it though.

X3, X7: Basically toned down and Tuned X's the X3 is supposed to priced about the same as a RAV4 and the X7 is you Range Rover type SUV.

I'm not positive on all of this info so I might fix mistakes later. There also may be a 2 Series.

Yeah, that's all right...I read about the new BMW's in my new magazine.

I've seen:
Ford Indigo
Ford Tremor
Ford Thunderbird (new one, before it was released)
Chevy Trailblazer
Pontiac Aztek before it was released (I hated it then, I hate it now.)
Something pulling out of Ford headquarters in Dearborn with the big black boxes all over it, I have no idea what it was. It was an SUV, might have been the new Explorer which is out now, or anything else. It was Explorer size though.

I think that's it.....I've seen the General Lee at the local car show last year, it's gonna be in this years car show too (this weekend!!) I tooted the Dixie horn too. You have to hold the horn button down the whole time if you wanna play the whole tune.

Some corrections to the original post

Their is a totally redisgned 5 series and there is no 2 Series. The 1 Series shares resources with the 3 series and the enigines are 114 and 143 Hp.

The other day I saw a new Mini driving down my street. It had the black cover up crap on it that most prototypes have to try to disguise them on the streets. It looked pretty kewl from what I could tell, but I don't think I'd drive it.

I've also seen a new explorer and expidtion before released, and i think i saw a prototype of a hands-free driving system! I passed teh guy too fast to see for sure, i dont think i saw anyone in the drivers seat with some weird stuff on the steering wheel in a brand new at the time caprice. I also saw the mustang like 6 months before it was supposed to be released.

The no driver thing was like at least 3 years ago. I knew about the 1 series and the X7 and heard about the X3, but i didnt know that it would go into production.

Last sunday, I saw a 3 of them, the 2002 Dodge Ram, 2002 T-bird, and a 2002 Buick Rendevious. Two days ago I saw a Toyota Highlander, not the current prodeuction one, and a current model cougar doing some suspension testing.

Lincoln "Baby Navigator"
Audi TT (two, in the US, before it was for sale)
Audi A3 (also, in the US)
