clock or radio not working after thieves

i installed a nice JVC 12 stacker cd player in my 97 honda civic was real nice then farkin next doors lil farkin cuz came and stole it from me didnt really think much of it as it was insured anyway i got a new stereo(and alarm [other thread]) and i installed it (i am good at it done it to a fair few friends cars ) and i noticed that after the first stereo was stolen the clock was not working i thought maybe it was a fuse but after checking then found none blown

the thief cut of the wires fairly deep into the dash but not so that i couldnt solder on the new stereo, after soldering it on i found that the system would power up but only so the power light was on it does not seem to work any ideas ?

is there a fuse in under the dash/bonet that i dont know about also why is there two wires comming out of the bundle that the stereo uses that i dont know what they are for ?
