you could do it, but for the price of the parts...

buy one.

you would need to get all sorts of new susp parts, and the transfer case, different rear axle, new front axle parts, etc... do you really wanna do that?

I agree. The cost would be very high to do this. 1 small yet possible avenue you could explore would be to try to find a wrecked 4x4 and put your trucks body on the 4x4 frame.

its not possable. the 2wd and 4wd frames are different the rear axle IS the same but as for the front axle won't go.
and it is possable to put your cab and box on a 4wd frame.
and if you wanted to build a real 4wd s10 cause the stock 4wd gear is shit you could use your 2wd frame and get a modified 1/2ton front axle
but $$ is where that is a problem

it would be easy if u wanted to but a straight axle in it to make a serious off road truck. it wouldnt be much harder than doing the same hing to a truck that was 4wd from the factory. but if u want the stock-type setup, buy a new truck or muve ur body onto a 4x4 frame

not worth the hassle, time and money you will put into trying it like fly said, you need a sh*t load of new parts
