i installed a blitz blow off valve. i hate to let the blow off valve dump into the atmosphere cause i have a injen intake for a aftermarket blow off valve. now every once and a while my car just stalls for no reason. has anyone heard of this problem?

if your venting then it will stall sometimes, and sometimes you will get some idle surge. what year DSM? if its a 2G it can be fixed with a GM MAP sensor. 1G's dont have "too" much problem with the stalling and idle surge. but it still does happen on them. you can just learn how to control it. idle drops, give it gas, heh

Re: idle problems

1Gs/2Gs have the same amount of problems with the venting idle. either recirculate your BOV, or get the MAFT setup.

i had way more problems with my 95 than I did my 91.

the 91 only had a slight idle surge. the 95 was just a piece of sh*t at idle and rpm drops.

You need a GM MAF sensor, not a MAP sensor. See www.fullthrottlespeed.com. Formerly sold through ramchargers. OTher dSM vendors like SBR etc sell them as well. Run it in blow through, and you can vent. This is what I do with my SARD bov, since it cant be recirculated.

I've got an idle surging problem on a 94 GS Turbo. If I run the idle adjustment screw all the way in, it will quit surging but then it idles at about 2000 rpms when warm.

Otherwise the car runs great.

Any suggestions where to start?

Thanks
Johnny McGee

adjust the screw about 3/4 the way in.. then adjust the TPS sensor to your ideal idle. drive it around, see if it works for you, if not tweak them both a little to get your desired area.

The BISS is not there to set idle speed believe it or not. I did a little writeup on here, it can be found at
