Radar detectors Illegal???

I recently got 2 speeding tickets in 1 week and I was thinking of getting a
radar detector, but I heard that next year they will become
illegal to have in your car in Holland.
Did anybody else hear this to?

You mean they weren't illegal in Holland? Damn, here in Belgium they have been illegal for as far as I can remember. An other thing you can do is paint your license plate with a special kind of paint so it doesn't show at the pics. I heard this also works with hairspray (don't know if this is true).

No never heard about that trick with the paint or hairspray.
We could just buy the detectors at the local Halfords shops
But the police wasn't happy if you had them and used them.

It has never been legal over here, too! I´ve heard that the trick with the hairspray doesn´t work that good. And another problem could be when the police stops you in the night and wants to see your license plate with a flashlight. I´m sure that they would see the difference and that you would get another ticket. I know that it´s definetly illegal over here in germany.

They are still legal, and probably will keep legal for a few month. The police wants you 2 believe it's not legal, but there is still a trial (rechtzaak) going on if it can be prohibited or not.
You can also think about the new kind of detectors. They work on the 'gps' , so they don't detect the machinery but just warns on basis of position. That is not prohibited.

But be carefull in your city... they are often standing over the tennis court (can't get the name...luxor???).

You mean Luctor Et Emergo???
That the spot where I got the tickets TWICE !!!!
So that a spot where the cops hang out alot.
When I drive by now I drive slowly, or at least 50 km
But when there are no cars in the street I go faster
But I also heard that they are standing in the grass across the street.

Yeah I agree with your mail, no I have a few days of because of Christmas
So in the next few days we could meet some where.
Got any suggestions???

yep luctor... and the road from your house to luctor et emergo... where those other flats are... a friend of mine got 2 speeding tickets there also... first we drove ... *FLITS*... we saw some kids playing... we thought they played with a flitser... so he drove back again...*FLITS*.... 2 speeding tickets!
Have you ever seen a black/white stickered citroen ax? Who's driving like a madman? He's really crazy... playing with the handbrake etc. ... we parked once against a 'lantarenpaal' ... you could see a nice round 'lantarenpaal' shape on the side of his car : ).
suggestions... don't know really... don't know how all those christmas days fall etc., i come back to it...tomorrow or so...
