Exclamation Speedo drops to 0 once it hits 35MPH..WTF?!?!

Whats up Preludin People. My speedo works fine until i hit about 35mph and then it just drops to 0, and it'll stay at 0 until i turn my car off and restart it. Once i restart it, my speedo works fine again until 35mph. This gets very frustrating because i don't need to get anymore tickets for stupid shyt like speeding. Does anybody have any clue as to what this problem might be? My tachometer works fine and my odometer keeps track of mileage. Any reply is better than none people. Thanx for ur time and effort...PLEASE HELP!

I thought the newer Honda's used an electronic sensor as opposed to a cable? I know there is no speedo cable running to my '94 Civic guages...

did you try to install indiglo gauges or mess with your instrument cluster at all? my only guess is the actual needle is fucked. i dont' know of any other way to fix it other than replacing it. i remember my tach needle broke after i tried to put some indiglo gauges in years ago. those things are rather fragile. took the whole damn assembly apart to no avail. i had to replace the tach completely.

i would imagine what del is saying is correct. i would try replacing it. ebay has one "buy it now" for 75, that's cheap http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452152051

Nope..i don't have indiglo gauges, i have no modifications to my car other than the engine swap and 1 10" sub. just one day i was driving, and the speedo just dropped to 0. Then i turned my car off, then started it back up and it worked up to 35mph, and its just a mind of its own. The other day it wasn't working at all, then i pulled up to a light and down shifted to 2nd, and the speedo went to 15 and decreased with my speed. When i started to go at the light, it went to about 25, then dropped to 0. Very strange?!?!?
