Question HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

Merry Christmas folks!

So I've decided to buy the HKS Hi-Power Cat Back exhaust system for my 97 240SX and wish I knew what it would sound like before I put the cash on the line.
Does anyone have the system on their car? (2.4L)
What does it sound like?
I would pay for the call to just listen.
And yes I do investigate everything I buy.
Your help would be more than appreciated - thanks!!
Mike

It's a nice sounding exhaust. It's got a nice low, yet somewhat quiet rumble while idling and cruising. When you get on it though it gets loud. Not obnoxiously loud or bee-in-a-can loud, but just a nice sound. I don't have a sound clip of it, but have you heard a JIC Bullet Exhaust before? That's what I've got on my 240 and it sounds almost exactly the same as the Hi-power. I don't have a sound clip of it though and I have no idea what it would sound like through a cell phone....

Re: HKS Hi-Power Exhaust

my cousin has the dual hi-power on his 87 rx-7, it sounds amazing, I love it, louder than stock, but not screaming at you. But when he gets on it, you know it.

lets just say I think it sounds so good and the power gain was so good that I'm planning on buying one for my 91 rx-7 this spring(a soon as money comes in)

don't buy from the hks website though, go to nopi.com and it is like $200 cheaper, well for the rx-7 atleast, but you may want to check for the 240, I don't know prices for that.

If you're looking for an atypical sounding exhaust, stay away from Apex, Blitz, Greddy, 5Zigen, etc. They are all designed with the American market in mind, they follow trends. All of those companies are nearly identical in power gains, because they use almost the same piping design, with the only variable being the muffler. Those companies are all quality for sure, they don't sound ricey, but they all do sound similar and sort of "typical 4 cylinder." If you want something different, go for brands such a Invidia, JIC, HKS, JUN, Buddy Club, etc... These people offer full titanium exhausts, revolutionary muffler designs, and good piping design. They will sound different than most other exhausts too.
