350 TBI studdering under load???????????

I am close to buying a 1989 Chevy 4x4 with a 350 TBI. While the truck is in nuetral or Park the engine will rev just fine through the whole RPM range. When you are driving it the truck will pull away from a stop and drive good also but when you want to take off fast or pass someone it will start to cut out at about 3000RPM. So its hard to get to a higher speed fast but once you get there it will hold the speed all day long. I havent tried any tune up things yet because its not my truck so troubleshooting isnt an option right now. So i am just looking to see if anyone has had the same problem or knows that it might be ONE SPECIFIC thing.

First check your spark plugs or have the seller do it. One bad plug will cause this. I know from experience.
Fuel injectors may be dirty. Use any store bought cleaner in your tank or you can get it done for about $50-$100. Be sure and change plugs and filter after this is done. Should eliminate the problem
