Maybe if you took the time to actually READ the listing, you'd realize what makes it so special

i did read the whole thing, and i still dont see what so special about it, sure its a discontinued model, but thats not a big deal, the reasoning behind it was differant tires, which is kinda lame, maybe if it was a differant hood or something it would be worth posting...but even then, its still a model

Just because you think it's lame doesn't mean someone else won't find it to be valuable

The fact that they were pulled off the shelves due to this flaw is exactly what makes them so rare...

no god damn it! i've been looking for this god damn kit for ever. (Heres is a pic, showing some of my work)But i dont get it. Revell released their 02 Camaro SS kit, and released a Z28 kit a couple years before it. Both the Z28 and SS kits came with the same tires. Meaning the 10-spoke SS rims were really 16's, not 17's. BTW 98 SNAKE EATER do you post on LS1.COM/forums?

Its still an f-body atleast.

Hmm, I find that really odd cause GM made such a stink about the tires on the T/A back in the day

Perhaps it was because of the F-Bodies being dropped that they just said F'it for the 02's and let it run?

I put an extra one I had on ebay as well. I usually buy kits two at a time. The reason it is such a big deal is that most model kit runs are in the 100's of thousands.
This 98 Firebird kit is probably only in the 1000's. Kind of like the Ertl Promo from 97. They only made 5000 of them after GM cut them off. So, if you build models and like this kit it is a big deal. If not I can understand the comments.

I read through the posts their. Looks like a lot of folks bought these.
Hopefully Revell will re-issue this kit. I know at one time they had one ready to go with Collector Edition graphics in the kit.
