talon AWD TSI .VS. eclise gsx

Is this the same car just a different body type? I see them for about 2-3 g's cheaper than the gsx, so id sell my eclipse and mod my car up faster. Then could i just turn the car into a eclipse?

Also, if you notice, the car is only painted half way, the roof is always black, is it possible to paint the whole thing? Do they just come like that standard?

---just makin sure, thanx....

Trying to turn a Talon into an Eclipse would just waste the money you saved on it, the only difference is cosmetic.

The car is not painted half way, all Talons come with a black roof.

What do you mean by is it possible to paint the whole thing, you could paint it pink with green dots if you wanted to just take it to a bodyshop.

It takes money to do the visual transformation, and it wouldn't save you much in the end, plus it's a lot of work.

They aren't painted 'half way', and of course you can paint it whatever you want.. again though i wouldnt recommend selling a gsx for a tsi. you have to buy front and rear bumpers, spoiler, some talons have door bump stripe things (if anyone has a better word please tell me) that cover up holes in the door... and whatever else. dont do it

beside front bumper, rear bumper and tail lights its the same

Pros:Talons have cheaper insurance
Cons: the value is a bit lower (hence 2-3grand cheaper)

LOL....your telling me, when i stated 2-3 g's cheaper, that i wont save much in the end.

Im planning on buying a body kit, atmost, 800 bucks. Taillights, 100-200. That doesnt really total out to 2 or even 3 thousand dollors....sorry.....

thanx for the info.

Exactly. If you want a car to look like an eclipse, then buy an eclipse.

I didn't give the numbers 2 thousand, or 3 thousand, you did. dont ask a question then try to argue with answer.

The NADA retail difference between a 97 eclipse gsx and 97 talon tsi awd is around 1500 dollars. By paying for the conversion you WILL NOT save money. thanks for arguing though, overall it is a dumb idea and would not benefit at all.

Re: talon AWD TSI .VS. eclise gsx

theres no shame in owning a Talon Tsi AWD
with a body kit and tail lights like you said
and a paint job you could prolly hav it looking pretty saweet and than all you would have to do is swap the back tag ( where it says Talon / Eclipse ) if you wanted too, aw well its ur call as itll be ur ride
do what u want and if they laff, you still have ur 210 hp, turbo and AWD,
the Talon is pretty much the same as a GSX

good luck dude if you go for it
but think be fore u act
look around, how many 97 Eclipse GSX's do you see in ur area compared to Talon Tsi AWD
then make the choice

First of all, you meant to say "write" not "right." Second take your attitude and hit the road. Joe Wagon is a helpful contributor to this section. Wether he is right or wrong on this matter is irrelavant. Your attitude sucks Discuss it like a man.
