95' Jetta OBDI system

I have a 95 jetta GL and i have been having troubles with getting it started. I need help finding where the code sensor(not sure what its called). It has five or so prongs and its used for diognosis testing. I know on the OBDII systems it is within 12 in. of the steering column. If you have any advice in knowing where it may be located please help. Thank You.

Re: 95' Jetta OBDI system

i also have a 95 jetta..I think it is odb1...is located just next to ash tray. Its a little cover that pops off...just right of it i believe..(somewhere in that area anyway).

Also, most of the time there is a jumper part that is located under the back seats very small and if you look at the connection you will see how it matches up...that will help you get the error code (if there is one)
