My experience with the "Box Method"

Ok, so over the past 2 days, I experimented to draw a car with the box method, whihc was introduced to me by 79VW. And this is my whole process. I know it's a crappy car, but that's the first time i'm using this box method way of drawing. So comments, comments, comments, try to gimme' tips on both the box method and on how anyone can improve from using the box method and just write sumthin' here. Alright?

This was the plan.

And this is the shitty result. BOOHOO! Fuck that shit...

Re: My experience with the "Box Method"

Ok I'll give some tips, 1st the box should be in "true perspective" so the boxject does not look boxy (unless it IS a box) and that will also help with the wheels .The only thing else is that to use the box as a guide like a point of refefence, not necessarily the actual body line of the car. If this is unclear maybe I or someone else could show an example.

Re: My experience with the "Box Method"

Good try...but u did kinda get lost there. As tokes99 says, use the box more like a guide which is very useful for perspective. Start by just drawing Rectangular prisms in different angles. Then add the squares for the wheels & other...Keep your lines all parallel , horizontal(all going towards vanishing pt.) &verticals...
Check out a really quickly done tutorial...

Re: My experience with the "Box Method"

Actually I hate using this method because it can get confusing with the added lines and can take more time to get it really "perfect." But I did one I'll post it later though.

here a couples of the examples I did their messy but you should get the idea.
