My Setup, is it going to work?

This is a setup for a 1990 Nissan 240SX
You think this is going work? Or will it sound like ass?

Edit: Already have everything except the amp, so...if it wont work...
can it be fixed by just getting a diff amp?

that's a very simple system .... it should work, but I think the bass will overpower the coaxials

Re: My Setup, is it going to work?

yeah you won't be able to hear the music at all with that, only bass

as far as everything physically working together, it should be fine

Re: My Setup, is it going to work?

the bass shouldnt override the speakers that much they are only L5s and if it does you can just turn down the bass

i'd reccomend you sell those front speakers, buy some components and amp them, that way you will be fine, and will sound good. or maybe just amp the coax's.

Amp the coax's ported subs... those will drowned out your speakers easily

Re: My Setup, is it going to work?

Ditch those little co-ax's, yuck!
At least get an efficient pair of 6" splits for the front

Re: Re: My Setup, is it going to work?

this thread is pretty old but seems to be brought up once in awhile. well i got everything installed and it sounds good IMO (first system nothing to base it off of) gains aren't set up all the way since coax will be over powered by bass and no music will be heard.

here is a pic.

and a pic of the JBL BP1200.1

prob not gonna buy some components or another amp till i get a new car, just carry the sub setup over. but before that imma put deadening before i install all the stuff into my new car. so components and speaker amp is long way from now
