third gen rear end swapping
aight, anyone here put a fourth gen torsen unit into a third gen rear?? more specificly a Borg Warner equipped rear end. im pretty sure they are interchangeable, but if anyone has done it and could assure me im on the right track it would be great. engines are my focus, drivetrains are pretty new to me.

Re: third gen rear end swapping
yeah man, thats all that counts, the only snafu is that the Borg Warner is a 7.75 in ring gear, and the carrier and pinion bearing part numbers are different for the borg warner, even though they are the same for the open rear and the torsen. but as long as the OD of the bearings are the same, they should fit. i just dont want to get it all set up , and then be like, damn.
