It's based on the same platform as the Toyota Echo and has the same engine.
If it's a typical Toyota, it will be cheap, safe, reliable, well built, and booo-ring. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you want a tiny performance car you'll have a lot of work to do. |

nope but it's interesting to find out how quick an econo box can be oh and a 1/4 time of 16.8 is outstanding for 108hp.

People have been able to put down some amazing times for the amount of power out of this engine. Some people have gotten very low 16s and supposedly some very high 15s out of the engine in an echo. Course the echo weighs considerably less than the xA.

The most recent information that I've seen suggestes that stock the xA outweighs the Echo by 300lbs. I think the xA has potential to hit the low 14's given the right set-up. That's of coarse never going to match up to a Civic or a 2k, but for the money...

My 5spd Echo goes 0-60 in about 8.4 sec.
everything is stock except for the 15x6.5 rims and 205/50R15 tires FYI |

Re: How Fast??
i've read that the xa is anywhere between 8.5 to 10.60 to 60 mph
the motor is from the echo, but it has much shorter gears that makes it quicker. my girlfriend has a 2004 honda civic ex. i always beat her in my xa. the suspension is stock in the xa, and it handles just as good as the civic, maybe alittle better... it's really worth the money. Quote:

The Scion xA and xB both have a wide variety of aftermarket mods, such as Blitz supercharger, HKS turbo kits, full cat back exhaust, headers, cold Air intake, and there is always a way to lose some weight, so.....given the performance parts available, I would say that these vehicles and the Toyota echo sedan and hatchbacks could very easilly compete with a Civic. Especially after a few years of companies developing these performance parts.
