drivetrain loss

Didn't want to post this on 3si because I know a fight would start...hehehe...

Has anyone ever agreed on a formula for calculating drivetrain loss? Granted my car does/will have stuff like a lightened flywheel, c/f driveshaft, etc... let's just pretend it's stock with bolt on parts for the sake of simplicity.

It seems that 20% is the number most bantied around when talking about AWD and around 15% or less for the fwd cars.
