Park Avenue Ultra sometimes dont start

I have recently purchase this 1991 buick park avenue Ultra and have this problem that I was fully aware of upon purchasing it,,
sometimes I will get into the car and try to start it but it wont start,,I was told that when this happens, I must wait 4 minutes and it would start, works everytime,,,what I cant figure out is what sets this off at any given moment,,there have been times it does it when I first get in the morning, other times, I stop it just to go to the store and when I get back it a few minutes later, it does it,,,sometimes its a pain in the ass, it seems to happen mostly when I am in a hurry,,,
does anybody know how I can stop this from happening without having to take it to a dealer??? I have read that it is some kind of anti theft mechanism, I dont care if i dont have this feature so if anyone could just guide me as to what to disconect, I would greatly appreciate it..
