Comptech ?

Hi,

Im thinking of getting a comptech exhaust for my 2001 gsr// since i've heard good things about it. What is everybody's opinion on this?// do i need any kind of special adapters to install it//also, has anybody heard them?? how do they sound// a friend of mine has a dc sports on a gsr and it sounds like shit at low rpm. On the comptech website i saw a siliencer adapter, will this take away from the performance of the exhaust??

Thanks.
Tano

Comptech is pretty good. They make badass headers too.

I'm under the impression that comptech stuff is VERY nice, top of the line. The only downer is that it is quite expensive. If you were to ask the place you were planning on buying the exhaust from, I'm sure they could answer some of your questions.

damn they look expensive. i heard that anytime that you have to stick some part into your exhaust you are degrading the performance, and since these exhaust systems seem to lean more towards the sounds of the car instead of the performance. what do you want, good sound and performance, or good sound. i have a greddy mx exhaust on my teq and that was about $530. for a catback. and im am super pleased with my purchase. it does not sound like shit at any rpm. when it idles you can just hear the exhaust and when i punch it off the line you can definately hear it. i have had so many compliments on my greddy exhaust. plus you can still expect to get great performance from it also.
