Clutch Problems

93 S-10 P/U, 5 speed, 2wd:: The whole clutch assembly is new - in the tranny and the slave cylinder and clutch master - it's all new. I just can't get the thing to bleed now. I've tried for hours, and can't get it done. Friends told me there could be a leak. Every part of the system is dry. A manager at AutoZone told me that the clutch plate tangs, where the bearing pushes in, could be sticking in and not coming back out, keeping the clutch engaged. And my clutch is staying engaged. It worked once for me and then about a week later, it didn't work. Any ideas?? I can't seem to find anyone that has an answer to this. This truck has been off the road for over 3 1/2 years without running. Now, it runs mint, but I still can't drive it. I want to drive it now...Please help. Thanks.

What actually happens when you push on the clutch? Do you get a normal feel? Any chance the plate has rusted to the flywheel. This is very common when they sit for a time. Push on clutch and have someone rock truck back and forth with it in gear to break loose. Bleeding is simple, just open bleeder at slave and push down on pedal and close bleeder while fluid is still coming out. Don't let up on pedal with bleeder open.
