Sileighty..good or bad?

Is the sileighty a good car? Because i notice that theres not very many sileighties....i got a silforty....:-p....i see alot more 1580s than the s-13 sileighty.

the sileighty was sold in japan only
and the only way to have it in the us is to convert a 240..
i would say its good but its probably just like a 180sx excepy with a silvia front end..

Yeah sileighty looks blah to me... makes the car look older and antiquated... unless it's converted from an s14 or s15. Just my taste though -- hatchback guy here... You gotta remember that the sileighties started when people fucked up the front-ends on their 180sx and were too cheap to put back new popups...

personally i like the sileighty (or s13 to s15 silvia front end conversion for those of us in the states). i cant stand pop up lights...too many small parts that can break and screw up your lights.

i believe sileighties were only a front replacement of the 180sx's. not sure if nissan made sileighties, but all i know there were an abundance of silvia front ends, and people that damaged 180 fronts ended up salvaging from silvias. personally, i prefer 180sx(regular 240 fastback) front. it's just the jdm craze that everyone's into. 15eighties were first a custom job (like the civic with a _____ front end or a _____ rear end) that then transformed into a fad. obviously there are conversion fenders readily made for this conversion because of such popularity. but all i gotta say is: be original and combine aftermarket parts with a japanese twist. so yeah sileighties are nothign but silvias. don't be too amazed by its looks though. kouki 180sx's are teh rarest of them all....

Nope, Nissan sent all the parts to a tuning shop called Kid's Heart, and commissioned them to build them for the dealers.

Nissan didnt wanna be associated with something illegal, such as the street racing scene, but didnt wanna lose the bucks, so they got a 3rd party to do it, but gave it a warranty.
