Uneven tire wear on '92 525i
The outside of my tires on my '92 525i are wearing more than the inside or center of the tires. Since I've only owed the car for a few months, I don't know how many miles are on the tires or the history of tire rotations. The previous owner told me that the car hasn't had an alignment in some time. I've heard that tires on BMWs supposedly wear more on the outside, especially on the left front. Should I expect similar treadwear on future tires or will an alignment (or something else) fix this problem?

If you're rounding up the usual suspects, the first thing to do is have the suspension aligned to rule out the obvious. My bet is the alignment will either solve the problem or tell you where the source of the problem is.
