will it work

I was wondering if the front clip from a 98-02 s10 pickup will fit on a 96-97 s10 pickup. Or could i just put the grill and headlights of a 98-02 on a 96-97 s10. If so, would the headlights and grill be hard to switch over? Thanks

I know for a fact that it can be done. As a matter of fact, there are kits for that very purpose. The kit comes with everything you need to change the front end(headlights, grille, etc.) of a 96 S-10 to the front end of a 98+ S-10. I can't remember the name of the sight where I found the kits, but as soon as I find it, I will let you know. I'm not sure if you can just put the front end of a newer S-10 directly onto a 96. I think a lot of the bolt patterns are different and you would need the kit for it to look right. I'll let you know as soon as I find the website. Hope that helps. I know the kit is around $300($400 with projection headlamps). Anyway, I'll let you know.

Theres nuthin to it if you have any sort of body work experience. I bought my 95 with front end damage and put the new front end on it. No "kit" necessary, you just need the radiator support, grille, headlights, and fan shroud.....wiring harness is the only mildly difficult part.
