You'll barely be able to get one in Japan for that much, let alone imported to the US and legalized. On top of that, the R34s currently cannot be legalized. For $40k, you're looking at an R32 GT-R.

Re: Skyline pricing!

yeah.. think 40k just to buy it in japan and another 50k on top of that.

40k, either a good condition r32 with a few mods to it or a r33 with the good charm of the motley crew.

sucks to be you.

Re: Skyline pricing!

i hear you can't currently legalize r34s rite now, and if you are really that desperate, go to japan yourself. ticket is waht, 500-700?

if i heard wrong about the r34, you have the 25K to legalize it? or are you going to bring the skyline here in 40 bags dissambeled and under your bed?

I hear its in the process and you can still legalize them. I know a place that includes the shipping taxes and conversion for 21,500. Also motorex is still selling and has a site so I guess they still legal to legalize.

Re: Skyline pricing!

i know that company... heard about ti b4. i believe i recall hearing that they import it, but do not legalize it (although they say they do)

this is just like the case with "evolution imports" and how pissed off everyone is about them.

any idiot with cash and connections can import a skyline or a evo 7, but having it pass throguh customs and legalizing it is another matter.

either
a)BS
b)they bought it off motorex, very unlikely.

don't beleive everything someone says. it's like people and TV marketplaces. "just becasue its on the TV doesn't mean it is actually true"

I would ask to see a DOT bond release and copies of their RI letter before I sent them $1.

Its easy to make claims . Make pretty websites . Its harder to actually legalize cars.

And there's your problem. It's highly doubtful you're going to find an R34 GT-R for as low as $40k, let alone under that.
