Camaro Problems plz help!!!

I noticed the other night when i was driving that when i let off the gas after getting on it fairly hard that it jumped around a little. Someone replied to me adn told me that it was probably my TCC switch or a wire going to it and it was jumpin because it was locking and unlocking. Today when i was accelerating it made light sounds that sounded like a thud. It also did this some while going up hills and it still does it some when u let off that gas. Is this the same problem or is it something else? Thanks for the help.

Re: Camaro Problems plz help!!!

if it was a constant "thud" that changed speed along with the rpm's, then I have some bad news for you...knock knock.

Re: Camaro Problems plz help!!!

Its not a constant thud. The car has a new transmission and just had a new motor put in last week. It is just a light thud that happens every once in a while when u accelerate or let off the gas and sometimes when u climb hills.

Re: Camaro Problems plz help!!!

sounds like a rear to be honest. if you get on it, and it goes thud, once, and then you get off it and it goes thud again, just once, it sounds like something in the rear end is not right. youll have to pull the cover and check all your tolerances to see if you have correct playout and side to side play. but yeah, blkcamaro is spot on too, if your motor mounts are shot, that would do it, the engine shifts from side to side with the throttle being applied or let off, so if the rubber isnt there, when the engine shifts, thud. is what you get.

the thud sound isnt coming from the motor it is coming from the back of the vehicle. i can also feel it slightly too but like i said it only does it every once in a while.

Re: Camaro Problems plz help!!!

Ya know..I've been building cars for quit a few years now, and only today I actualy stopped and though, scary I know, how is it that a higher ratio rear end gets better ecceleration. This is probably the dumbest question that I've ever asked and I'll probably be made a fool of for it. But it's always just been comon knowledge that it's just the way it is. But if the pinion gear gets smaller, how is acceleration improved? Ok, I'm done thanks..

Re: Camaro Problems plz help!!!

mechanical advantage. the higher ratio gears act like a longer lever on lifting a mass. say you have a 2000 pound rock, and a foot long lever to move it, ya aint gonna accomplish much, thats like having a 2.33:1 gear ratio. and accelerating from a dead stop. but say you were using that short stick to flick a bunch of pebbles over a fence or something, you could knock out that pile real quick, cuz its easy to move that little stick, thats like top end speed. now lets make the bar longer, say 30 feet long. you could probly move that 2000 lbs rock, like having 4.56:1 gears. but try to use that long ass rod to hit a bunch of pebbles over a fence, and you see why yout top end is a bit limited with those gears. takes a whole helluva lot of work to swing that lever arond. even though at slower speeds, its far more usefull. hope that was helpfull, kinda weird analogy after i sit and think about it.
